Kwaku Danso - RMT phone: (306) 251-1789
With his interest in Anatomy and Physiology, Registered Massage Therapy was a perfect fit for Kwaku. Prior to his move downtown in October, 2012, he practiced Massage Therapy for 7 years at the Saskatoon Fieldhouse. Kwaku completed the standard 2200 hour Massage and Hydrotherapy program at McKay, Saskatoon. When the opportunity to start a business venture with his co-workers emerged: "It was too good to pass up!" - and he became a dedicated Partner and RMT Practitioner of New Leaf Kinetic Arts.
His athletic concentration naturally steered Kwaku into a focus on sports massage, athletic rehabilitation and injury prevention. Actively involved as a participant and/or coach in basketball, volleyball, soccer and weightlifting, his variety of past and present experience in these areas has been proven useful in the treatment of his patients. Kwaku is registered with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC). He has taken advanced training in PNF Techniques, and Integrated Massage Therapy, which includes Functional Assessment, Sports Massage Therapy, Post Concussion Syndrome Management, Myofascial Cupping, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM).
Kwaku enjoys a good food talk, and will gladly take any new restaurant or recipe recommendations. He also loves discussing the finer points of the Lakers' strategies, but only when he's not busy trying to top his previous record for weddings attended in a single year (current record: seven!). #popularpeopleproblems

Elizabeth Dahl - RMT phone: (306) 290-5764
After graduating from the McKay Massage and Hydrotherapy Program, Elizabeth joined the Massage Therapist Association of Saskatchewan (MTAS), and became a Registered Massage Therapist, in June, 2006. She began her career at Just For You Day Spa, and in her 3 1/2 years working there, she learned the therapeutic value of relaxation treatments. In 2010, she joined the team at On Track Massage Therapy, in the Saskatoon Fieldhouse, as a self-employed RMT, her practice expanding in the direction of clinical massage therapy. Working in a location so close to the University of Saskatchewan, she treated students (their backs curved like Quasimodo from heavy backpacks and essay writing), athletes, and members of the many fitness and rehabilitative health programs at the Fieldhouse.
Elizabeth and her colleagues moved on from there to form a Partnership, opening New Leaf Kinetic Arts, October, 2012, in the historic Avenue Building, of downtown Saskatoon. As a business owner, and RMT of 11+ years of experience, Elizabeth's enthusiasm for the results her patients experience, and her commitment to treating everyone she meets with the best of care, are what define her professional philosophy: "These are the reasons we have opened our own clinic. It's working!" Elizabeth has taken advanced training in PNF Techniques, and in the Head, Neck & Jaw (TMJ) Master Class, providing specialized treatment for the relief of pain in these regions.
Probably the most enthusiastic member of our team, Elizabeth decks our clinic out in colourful festivity for each major holiday. She loves to bake (and share) muffins (we love her), and will never pass up an opportunity to dance or kickbox, or some combination of the two!

Carl Berry - RMT, SPPT Instructor phone: (306) 370-4745
As a graduate of the Advanced 2200 hour Massage Therapy Diploma program of the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy, Carl is well versed in Gross Anatomy, Systems Anatomy and Neurobiology, Physiology, Pathology, Kinesiology, Nutrition, Remedial Exercise, and Hydrotherapy. He is trained in Swedish Massage Techniques, Myofascial Release, Manual Lymphatic Drainage; Assessment & Analysis; Joint Play & Mobilization Techniques.
Carl is registered through the Massage Therapist Association of Saskatchewan (MTAS). He completed prior training in Advanced Hypnosis at the Calgary Hypnosis Academy, Alberta, and practiced 5 years as a Certified Hypnotherapist. Carl has taken advanced RMT training in PNF Techniques, Head, Neck & Jaw (TMJ) Master Class, Ligamentous Articular Strain: Foot & Ankle, Introduction to Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Integrated Massage Therapy, which includes Functional Assessment, Sports Massage Therapy, Concussion: Detection, Prevention & Management, Post Concussion Syndrome Management, Myofascial Cupping, and IASTM techniques.
He began his Massage Therapy career working in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting for several years, during which time he developed his skills and practice management, gaining valuable experience treating a wide variety of different conditions as well as working with a very diverse patient base. In March, 2011, he moved his practice to the Saskatoon Fieldhouse, and continued to develop his clinical approach to treatment: "From a treatment perspective, it is not enough to simply reduce pain. If the muscular and postural symmetry is not restored, the process causing the pain will not be halted. The muscles may be massaged and some of the 'knots' may be removed, relieving pain, but if the issue is not approached in such a way as to cause postural change toward the restoration of symmetry, the problem will continue to return, perhaps even for years."
The desire to own and operate his own practice, as well as to work in a more independent atmosphere, led Carl to join the Partnership of New Leaf Kinetic Arts, where he is pleased to share clinic ownership and work alongside other Massage Therapists who are highly skilled and very passionate about their work. When he's not practicing Kung Fu or writing his young adult fiction, adult comedy or science fiction novels, Carl likes to 'nerd it up', taking online courses in Quantum Physics, General Relativity and Particle Physics, from MIT and the Universities of Edinburgh and Paris. He also loves beards and Star Wars novels.

Kaity Weichel - RMT, D.Ac. phone: (306) 261-6119
What drew Kaity to Massage Therapy was a desire to help people, and that continues to be the primary focus of her treatments: "I believe Clinical Massage Therapy and Contemporary Medical Acupuncture are powerful tools to resolve dysfunction and promote natural healing processes. It is a great reward to me when my patients, through a combination of treatments and their own dedication to improving their health, need only return for occasional maintenance."
Kaity began her career as a Registered Massage Therapist, working in both Spa and Chiropractic Clinical settings, gaining valuable experience and developing her skills and practice. As a 2007 graduate of the Advanced 2200 hour Massage Therapy Diploma program of the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy, she is trained in Swedish Massage Techniques, Myofascial Release, Manual Lymphatic Drainage; Assessment & Analysis; Joint Play & Mobilization Techniques. Wishing to expand her practice, in 2010, she completed her Diploma in the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program, taught through the Department of Anesthesia, Continuing Medical Education of McMaster University, located in Hamilton, ON.
Kaity has taken advanced training in PNF Techniques, Head, Neck & Jaw (TMJ) Master Class, Ligamentous Articular Strain: Foot & Ankle, Introduction to Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Integrated Massage Therapy, which includes Functional Assessment, Sports Massage Therapy, Concussion: Detection, Prevention & Management, Post Concussion Syndrome Management, Myofascial Cupping, and IASTM techniques. In October, 2012, Kaity became part of New Leaf Kinetic Arts, as a Partner, RMT, and Acupuncturist. She is registered through the Massage Therapist Association of Saskatchewan (MTAS), the Provincial Medical Acupuncture Association (PMAA), and is a Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) Certified Fitness Leader.
When she's not in treatment, or designing and updating the clinic's website, Kaity spends her time painting and trying to teach herself to play the ukulele. She can also be found climbing and hanging upside down in bizarre poses at Fly Studios YXE, where she trains and Instructs in Aerial Arts. Her family and friends suspect she may run off to join the circus any day now.
